aurora awakening

retreating under the northern sky

6 days full of soul in the swedish wilderness

I wanted to create something truly special to end this winter… and so it is. Together with Annelotte and Rick from Skandi Camp, I’m hosting Aurora Awakening: a conscious retreat camp under the northern sky.

For six days, we step into nature- within and without.
A unique blend of raw Swedish winter experiences and deep inner exploration through yoga, meditation, breath, ceremony, constellation work and shared presence.

This is not your regular ‘Bali-yoga-retreat’ (hihi): It’s an invitation to fully embrace winter, so we can gently open ourselves to spring; To new life! This is why we gather around the spring equinox, a natural turning point of the year. A moment of balance.
A celebration of the first light.
Of renewal.

A new begin…

Welcome to Aurora Awakening.

This week takes place around the spring equinox- a moment of balance, renewal, and gentle awakening. A time when nature begins to move again, inviting us to do the same.

Sweden, march 2026

Imagine waking up surrounded by cripsy snowy forests.

A warm cabin.

A day that begins with movement, breath and intention.

Then nature.

Sweet smiles.

Sauna heat on your skin.

Cold lake dips that make you feel more alive than ever!

Snowshoeing, singing, fire circles, deep conversations, silence, stars.

And at the center of it all:

connection; with yourself, with each other, with nature.

Let’s end the winter by embracing the dark,
& Welcome in the first light of spring.

3 pillars of aurora awakening

inside

Through yoga, meditation, breath and song, we create space to turn inward. To slow down. To listen. To feel what’s been quietly waiting beneath the surface.

This pillar is about reconnecting with your inner world; your body, your breath, your emotions, your truth, your story, your creativity, your voice.
Not to fix anything, but to clean the senses & meet yourself with curiosity and kindness.

Balance

Aurora Awakening lives in the meeting point between inner and outer worlds.

This retreat is intentionally playfully designed as a dance between activity and rest, silence and expression, adventure and integration.

By exploring both the inner landscape and the natural world around us, balance and harmony naturally arises. I believe magic is perceived through clean senses. So we won’t make it more ‘holy’ than we need to, but consciously human, real and authentic.

Outside

Nature as our co-guide.

Through snowshoe hikes, winter walks, optional snowmobile rides, natural ice baths and time in the sauna, we immerse ourselves in the raw beauty of the Swedish wilderness.

Surrounded by pristine forests, frozen lakes and vast northern skies, the outside world invites us to breathe deeper, feel clearer, and reconnect with what truly matters. Goodbye dullness, hello aliveness!

“Tessa can really help you feel what you already have within you. Doing a check in or a deep emotional check together with her, really makes you feel it. And that is just an amazing feeling. Which you can learn and by practice be able to do yourself. If you are drawn to her and interested in her work, don't hesitate, you know you want to join the mentorship, just give that present to yourself!”

reviews

“Furthermore, Tessa is a STAR at tuning into the person in front of her, with a keen sense of what you need. When you are open and honest about your process, she can recalibrate you on your path if you seem to be straying, ensuring you remain true to yourself. Working with you has been impactful and completely turned my year around. It has taught me to dance with my shadow and darkness. It has taught me to embrace all the colors of life. Working with you has restored my trust in myself.”

“Working with you has been a profound journey of self-discovery. I knew it was the right choice, but I never expected it to be so life (me) changing. In each session, you held space with pure presence and spoke through your intuition. I felt truly seen and understood.”

How many participants will join Aurora Awakening?

Aurora Awakening is an intimate retreat with a maximum of 15 participants.
We intentionally keep the group small to create a safe, calm and personal atmosphere.

Will I have enough time for myself?

Yes — absolutely.
This is very important to me.

Every day includes plenty of free time for yourself. You’re always welcome to skip activities, rest in your cabin, go for a walk, journal, read, or simply be.

Nothing is mandatory.
You choose what feels right for you.

I’m introverted and need time alone. Will this retreat be too intense?

I completely understand — and this retreat is created with that in mind.

There is lots of space for solitude and quiet moments. You never have to join conversations or activities if you don’t feel like it. The group is small, respectful and relaxed.

Whether you feel like connecting or retreating inward — both are welcome.
This is your week.

(And just so you know: I’m introverted and highly sensitive myself, so I truly get it.)

Do we share the cabins with others?

Yes, cabins are shared, but in a calm and respectful way.
The entire campsite is reserved for our group, so it really feels like our own little world for the week.

I’ve never done yoga before. Is this retreat suitable for me?

Absolutely.
All yoga and movement sessions are accessible for all levels, including complete beginners.

There’s no focus on performance — only on listening to your body and moving gently. You don’t need any experience.

What if I’m not very sporty or don’t want to join everything?

That’s perfectly fine.
Everything is optional and adapted to different levels.

You’re always free to skip an activity or take things at your own pace.
This retreat is about tuning into your needs — not pushing yourself.

What kind of activities will we do?

The week includes:

  • Yoga (yin & vinyasa)

  • Meditation & breathwork

  • Singing circles & workshops

  • Constellation work

  • Snowshoe hiking & winter nature walks

  • Sauna & optional natural ice bathing

  • Campfire evenings

  • Plenty of free time to rest and explore

It’s a balanced mix of inner work and nature experiences.

I’m not sure yet, how do I know if this retreat is right for me?

Feeling unsure is completely normal, especially if this is your first retreat.

You’re always welcome to send me an email, by clicking here.
and we can reflect together. Sometimes it just helps to talk it through.

Do I need my own transport?

No.
After your booking, you’ll receive a document where you can share:

  • your travel details

  • arrival times

  • and how you’re planning to travel

This helps us coordinate and make sure everyone arrives at SkandiCamp easily and smoothly.

What is not included?

  • Your flight to Sweden

  • Travel insurance

Everything else is taken care of.

Can you accommodate dietary requirements?

Yes, of course.
After payment, you’ll receive a form where you can indicate any dietary needs or allergies, so we can take good care of you.

All meals are homemade, vegetarian and inspired by authentic Swedish cuisine.

I’m coming alone and don’t know anyone — is that okay?

Yes and you won’t be the only one.
Most participants often join solo.

Because of the small group size and the shared experience, a warm and open atmosphere naturally forms. You’re welcome exactly as you are.

Which flight should I book?

Before the retreat, we’ll share clear guidance on recommended arrival times and logistics, so everything runs smoothly. For information about how to travel, you can already checkout the Skandi Camp website.
